DIY Ribbon Stick

New post: Exploring through play. DIY ribbon stick. This is one of my favourite (and his as well) We played this for quite sometime until recently the stick broke and I haven't had time to fix the wooden spilt. We have no idea how it broke either but thankfully he didn't get hurt and was some feet away. Maybe he became a hulk suddenly 😅 Materials required: Ribbons - as colourful as possible. Make sure the widths can fit the eyescrews Wooden rod of a good sized diameter (Daiso) Eyescrews with around 1cm "eye" or suitable size with the rod (Hardware store) Wide washi tape (Daiso) Small bell (Daiso) 1. The wooden rod from Daiso was too long. I cut it in half with some hand tools and used only 1 half. Use sandpaper or file to file down can sharp edges 2. Push and screw the eyescrew to one end of the rod 3. Wrap the rod in colourful washi tape. For this rod, the diameter just nice fits the wide washi tape width. Or you can do spirals 4. Tie the ribbons to the eyescrew. I used loop knot to tie in the middle so ribbons become 2 halves. It will be thick at the eye. If too thick, reduce the number of ribbons. 5. Tie the bell to the eyescrew with a small piece of wire. This can be fun to play with a pet too. 🐱
