New post: Montessori at home for us started from our bedroom to his own bedroom. He kept felling from the bed and ended up with many bruises on the forehead. I thought why not eliminate the root cause aka the bed and we go straight to the floor. My hub thought it was a bad idea but hey, mummy is in charge here. 😁 Throwback to when he was 8months old. His playmat was set up right beside our bed. We were on the playmat for several weeks before I shifted him to his room. We practically did everything there: sleep, play and change diapers, etc. he wasn't really mobile at that age. So we had many flashcards placed at sides in random everyday. It could be other things that can catch baby's attention and can include books, toys, favourite blanket, etc. Sometimes he will just stare, other times he may try to reach and grab or even flip to get it. I'll share more on this Montessori on the floor in next few posts 😊 hope it will inspire you to let your child explore and enjoy his/her surroundings. PS: Please don't mind my messy room 😅
