A trip back to nature on Sunday bring us closer to what we have on our daily meals. The kids looked forward to the visit to the local organic vegetable farm and this is an eye opener for city kids like us. The last visit was cancelled due to rain, but Sunday's weather was really good (and hot!)
While most of us adults were looking at veggie crops and herbs plants, the kids happily made their way around with their scooters. Thank god for these scooters otherwise I need to find stuffs to entertain them especially when little boy is not very interested in his vegetables! And also special thanks to Uncle @samuel_lim__ for helping to carry one of the scooters because of some rough roads.
Mummy is excited to see Kale growing on local soil when usually supermarkets have Kale imported. Despite the hot weather, the kids managed to went a big round the farm and also plucked some leaves for dinner. Little boy refused to try harvesting so the other kids had their turn.
Mummy looks forward to have another similar trips like this to expose the kids more to nature. Knowing the sources of the food we eat makes us more appreciative of what we have.
