A throwback post for Halloween, where we made some fun and scarily cute spiders for the kids to play. Other than Halloween, you can also use them for play pretends and storybook telling like Itsy Bitsy Spiders 🕷 or Little Miss Muffet!

Things you need: - Foam balls - Yarn
- UHU and glue gun - A chopstick - Pipe runners - Wiggle eyes

To make the body of the spider, pierce a hole each on 2 ends of the foam ball. You can make a through hole or just enough depth on each end for pipe runners later on. Start the yarn by applying UHU glue to the yarn near a hole and apply more at the other hole, use the yarn n cross side to side, touching the glue will secure it as it dries out. Continue winding the yarn on the ball, take note the 2 ends where the holes are. Once the ball is covered with yarn, cut it and use the UHU glue to secure the some of the yarns at each ends. At this stage the body looks oval due to the yarn roll. Cute the pipe cleaners into ~8cm length (depending how long legs you want) Locate the holes again with the chopstick and insert 4 pipe cleaners into the hole n twist to secure. Bend the end to resemble spide legs. Repeat for the other side. Use the glue gun and adhere the wiggle eyes. . Most items are easily available from Daiso. And it's really fast and easy DIY to amuse the kids. Do note that the cut ends of pipe cleaners can be sharp. Please supervise use at all times.
