Bedroom Setup Part 4

Writer's picture: Mummy SMummy S

New post: Montessori at home. This is the latest bedroom layout with 1 cot mattress, 1 tilam (used my old foldable mattress), and foldable playmat. There's also some daiso puzzle mats at the extreme left to make up for the short length of the cot mattress. Not forgetting tons of soft fluffy pillows and his favourite blankie. Few months ago when he still wasn't too stable with walking, the playmat (on the right) was laid down flat. However due to space limitations (flats in Singapore are generally small 😅), if I laid the mat fully I couldn't close the door. So for some time, the area was full of uneven steps due to the different heights of each. And yes, he did tripped over quite a bit. This was taken yesterday, he's 17m+. We tested this layout for 1 month already. He enjoys the "new" platform created from the folded playmat. Sometimes he will sit at the top for some reading or play, sometimes he will dancing and tap his feet or literally just dive from the top into the pool of pillows. Having a boy is really energetic and full of adventure 😅 Here he's trying to do downward dog pose on the tilam 😂 maybe too much yoga during preggy times. You can view his past bedroom layouts by searching keywords "Montessori at home" in this page. Tip: Do play around with your child's needs and interests when setting up his/her room. Remember to always consider safety as number 1. My boy loves cooking, so he has this small kitchen on the left. He always tries to cook something before bedtime (and I gotta "eat" it else he will force me) 😂 and I placed a big pillow to prevent him from accidentally knocking onto the kitchen set while sleeping.
