New post: Exploring through play. Bath time is play time. My little Scorpio loves water play and splashing around. Which baby doesn't? ☺️When he is able to sit up by himself, I shifted him out of the tub to play with water because I'm so afraid he'll drown! Initially he had some balancing to do on the ground as the floors are slippery, after a while he's good and very pro on slippery floors 😂 Here we have not only the bath tub, I had also placed a washtub with lower height for him to reach for his bath toys easily. I made used of sandcastle toys as bath toys and also had plastic balls that's floats. The sand castle toys are colourful, water resistant and don't trap nasty bacteria or fungus in tiny holes as compared to those squirting water toys. We also had a bath book but the water play itself already took most of his attention 😅 As your baby grows, you can introduce other items like plastic mug, spoons, watering can, etc to try out water play. A lot of things other than those labelled as "bath toys" can be also use as water play! I'll share again later on other materials which can be helpful for learning. Babies can suffocate in as little as few centimetres of water level! Please note there is also tendency of baby dropping into the water if he/she reaches for something in the tub or slippery floors, supervision required at all times! Do share if you have any interesting ideas for bath time! 😊
