New post: DIY activities at Flying Cow Ranch (TW) Weekends are quite packed but luckily we managed to join in the last session of the milk cake baking. The other DIY includes milk cookie and milk bread. While we went to register for the cake baking, the class for milk bread had started and it smells so good! Since we gotta wait for the cake bake session, we had some time so we went to nearby for a quick milk ice cream and explore the camping lodge areas. We also had some time to do clay painting on their signature cow figure. 🐮 But sadly it broke before taking a nice picture. This clay painting can be done any time of the day and is part of the paid session. Since we stayed over for 2 nights, they gave us 4+1 bonus coupon for the DIY activities in the ranch. We went animal seeing in the morning hence missed out on this and only managed to get the last late afternoon cake session. Initially I wanna do the cookies as well. The rest are all full. Do also note that some activity are group based, eg cake is group of 3. Little boy is 18months then, he admits for free 😏 luckily for us no one else is joining hence we got the whole activity group to ourselves The collage below are from the cake baking session! Recalling the events made me miss the sweet soft fluffy cake *drools* so basically this involves adding milk powder for the milk fragrance and fluffiness comes from creating the firm peaks from egg whites without any mixer! This is so tiring! I passed the egg whites to the man to continue beating 😂 this activity is good for older kids as they can be involved in each step activity. Also don't worry if u can't get stiff peaks form the whites, the nice ppl there will help you 😅 while waiting for the cake to be done in the oven (superb smells again) we were given 3 bottles of fresh milk. This is group of 3, hence 3 milk. It goes very well with the hot fluffy cake! Little boy goes for the milk more than the cake 😂 Definitely rewarding for us after all that hard work. This is DIY from start to finish. Hence we even need to clean up the tools. So little boy had some water splashing fun at the wash area to keep him busy for a moment. The staffs will do another proper round of clean up after the session ends. PS: little boy didn't have the patience to sit through the cake mixing time so we ended up doing everything and also keeping an eye on him so he stays out of trouble (big hot oven is nearby) An older kid will definitely appreciate the session better. Maybe we will bring him there again when he's older 😁
