"Slime" Messy Play

Writer's picture: Mummy SMummy S

Messy play for the kids! We had some leftover expiring flours so mama thought by don't let the kids have some sensory time since the last one we had was quite some time ago. This round we experienced a very different texture from the usual cloud dough and slime. It is kinda in between these and the kids took it with water for even more play imagination.

We had 3 colours to start with and little boy mixed 2 of them to get secondary colours! So clever! So blue and yellow makes green while yellow and pink makes orange. Little girl now is at the No stage and initially she didn't wanna touch them at all. After some encouraging, she took her hand for some feel of this weirdly texture. Mummy sprinkled some of the "slime" on the skin and it turned out to have a nice dotted swirly pattern. So cool huh! Of cos the final mess turned out to be a shade of dull dusty purple which concluded the end of the play.

OCD don't worry! Clean up is easy as we did this in the bathroom. Spray it and all goes to the drain. If the bathroom is unavailable, you can do this play on the table with some mat. The "slime" dries out quickly and a vacuum cleaner will help with the cleaning up! Stay tune next post for how to make this "slime"!
