Reflections

CNY is also a time to reflect back back to the moments before moving on to new challenges. Since with the kids, time passes too fast and we often don’t stop to see and what we love, what we need to change.

Bringing this level to a child is more challenging as compared to an adult as sometimes they do not know how to express themselves. Learning how to speak to your child is always a learning experience.

We spoke to little boy on “What’s the best thing that happen to you last year?” With some initial prompts, little boy enjoyed and was the happiest when he played his favourite Pokémon tretta game and when a Legendary rare Pokémon came out and he had that chance of catching it. On lucky days we do manage to catch it, and some days we would need to try again. I remember the time he first started and didn’t manage to get any and he was always so upset. Now he is able to look beyond this and always eager to showcase this never dying spirit towards many things even showing to his lil sis if she’s doing something new. Building confidence is not easy especially with a child that constantly needs encouragement.

PS: the kids kept asking why there isn’t any money in their red packets. 🤦🏻‍♀️
